The Best Washable Face Mask for Sensitive Skin

These days, it’s more important than ever to wear a face mask in public. This is not only for your safety but also for the sake of those around you. Unfortunately, for those with sensitive skin, wearing a face mask all day (or even for hours at a time) can be irritating and uncomfortable. That’s why we’re so excited to introduce the first washable face mask - perfect for those with sensitive skin! Read on to discover what makes our Remedywear™ face masks so great!

Please keep in mind that although what we discuss in this post can relieve eczema, we are in no way medical professionals. If you’re experiencing severe eczema symptoms like an infection, it is best to seek medical advice immediately.

Benefits of Zinc Face Mask

Made with sensitive skin in mind, our Remedywear™ face masks are embedded with antimicrobial and antibacterial zinc. The antimicrobial properties make it effective at fighting any germs or bacterial growth that have a tendency to build up outside or inside of the mask. For those who suffer from eczema, the ability to prevent bacterial colonization can help reduce inflammation and flare-ups.

TENCEL for Sensitive Skin

In addition, the washable face masks are made with eco-friendly TENCEL. Made from renewable wood pulp, TENCEL is known for being extremely soft and gentle.

Can you imagine wearing an uncomfortable, itchy mask all day long? Sounds horrible! Lucky for you, we understand the importance of natural, soothing fabric for sensitive or allergy-prone skin. That’s why we chose to make our masks with lyocell (TENCEL brand), an eco-friendly alternative to cotton. We use non-allergenic dyes with zero chemicals or adhesives to ensure your skin is comfortable all day long without any chafing or facial irritation.

Breathe Easy and Comfortably

There’s nothing worse than wearing a mask and further aggravating your psoriasis, eczema, or rosacea. Well, this is exactly what happens when you have a skin condition and wear a normal mask. If a mask is too tight or too loose, problems such as increased friction can arise.

Our Remedywear™ zinc face masks combat this problem by offering stretchy, adjustable straps. A personalized fit gives you the opportunity to wear your mask in a way that works for you. Need to wear your mask for hours at a time? Tie the straps behind your head. Need to be able to slip it on and off? Tie the straps together in a little knot behind your ears. In addition, the mask has moisture-wicking properties, making it perfect to wear during warm summer months or under sweaty circumstances.

The Best Washable Face Mask For Eczema-Prone Skin

Our Remedywear™ face masks are not meant for medical use, nor are they intended to replace Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). However, they are intended to help protect the community and can be worn by those who leave the house to travel for work, school, or errands.

The three layers of our masks were 3rd party tested by Citeve, a National Portuguese Lab with GPL (Good Practice Laboratory) Certification (the highest certification for a lab) via standards: EN ISO 9237:1995 and EN 14683:2019 Type 1 (European test to certify surgical masks). The results were as follows:

Test for Breathability EN ISO 9237:1995: Good

Test for Particle Retention EN 14683:2019: PRC ( > or = to 3 µm) (%) : 85% / PRC (between 0,5 µm and 0,7 µm) (%) : 12%

We recommend having at least two masks: one to wear and one to wash. This ensures you always have a clean mask ready to wear. And don’t worry about over washing - the fabric has been independently tested by a third party company to withstand >100 cycles of laundering without zinc loss!

What Physicians are Saying

“I have been searching for a comfortable, good looking, and functional mask that I can use every day. With this mask, my search has ended! Lightweight, breathable, comfortable, and antibacterial! This is everything I wanted in a mask. I also love that it has ties rather than elastic bands. This allows me to adjust it perfectly, and I can leave both knotted and use it almost like an elastic band. My ears are actually sore from the masks that wrap around them, so I definitely don’t want that, although you can tie these straps so that they do hook around your ears as well if you wish. This is the mask that I have been looking for!”
