This natural manuka honey cream is based on a traditional recipe and made in small batches by hand. Manuka Honey Skin Cream is a surprisingly soft and creamy oil based balm, rather than a true water based cream. Organic active Manuka honey, known for its amazing healing powers, is combined with organic tree nut-free oils and beeswax to create a gentle nourishing balm that's excellent for healing open wounds and soothing irritated eczema flare-ups.
Active Manuka honey is native to New Zealand and is created when bees pollinate the manuka bush, a relative of the tea tree. Manuka oil is extracted from the leaves of the manuka bush. Manuka oil is actually 10 times more potent than tea tree oil. Manuka and tea tree oil are praised world wide for their ability to naturally treat infections and reduce inflammation. Unlike the very medicinal odor of tea tree oil, manuka oil and honey have a lovely delicately sweet scent. What else makes Active Manuka honey so incredible? It contains 1,000 times more methylglyoxal than other forms of honey. Methylglyoxal is what gives honey it's anti-bacterial properties and which makes honey so beneficial for eczema. In fact, results from a 2012 study by The Ithree Institute, University of Technology in Syndey Australia state Manuka honey..."shows promise as a topical antibacterial agent and effective chronic wound dressing," and "treatment with manuka honey resulted in a significant decrease in the bacterial cell growth rate," with specifically good results at reducing Staphylococcus aureus, also know as MRSA. Another similar study can be found here.
We advise trying the balm only on a small patch of skin at first to make sure your child doesn’t react. Any natural product on the market could contain an ingredient that won’t agree with your child’s skin. It’s best to be cautious when first using a moisturizer. We learned that lesson the hard way.
Also, always read the full ingredient list for any known irritants or allergies.

I really like the Manuka, I'd been using it for my hands and lips at night. It absorbs quickly and leaves a velvety feeling.

I've tried every natural and non natural cream out there for my two year olds eczema. I've spent hundreds of dollars to only use a small portion of each. Then I asked some questions on Jennifer's blog and sent her an email. She recommended this cream so I thought, why not try another. I LOVE it. I've gone through one whole tub and ordered two more. It goes on smooth and thick and gives a nice barrier. To be honest, it works nearly as good as steroids without the steroid. Just wish it weren't so expensive!

Smells nice and provides a nice barrier to keep moisture in on my 1yo daughter's skin. I especially like it in conjunction with the Calendulis cream, which clears up flare-ups, while the manuka honey cream keeps the skin soft. It's good for both winter and summer. It's thick, but spreads relatively easily. Glad to see it comes in a larger size now, since it can go quickly if used daily.

I recently wrote a review on how we only used this on our sons face initially because it was so gentle. It has completely cleared his face of eczema. we decided that we would use this on his entire body, we have being doing this for about 3 months now, and his eczema has calmed. His chest is cleared, back has cleared for the must part, arms go up and down, and his legs go up and down, but are defiantly his worse area. Mind you my son has the worse eczema my pediatrician has ever seen. So this cream makes his skin look great, and keeps the dry skin away. I highly recommend this product, I tell everyone about it! I wish that it was cheaper of course. Hope this helps the parents that struggle with eczema everyday!

I didn't really see a difference with applying manuka honey. I read amazing things about it, however it wasn't for my baby girl! Every child is different though...

This manuka honey cream is the best! After applying on my daughter's eczema (head to toe), her skin is nice and soft the next day. While it doesn't clear up her eczema it most definitely has helped us control it much more easily. Abit greasy but eventually absorbs in very well. I use this in conjunction with the Cream - Formula One and it works wonders to quickly calm her flare ups the next day. Highly recommend as an excellent moisturizer and prophylactic for eczema.

The manuka skin cream is so soft and gentle, I put in on my entire face. While it doesn't cure my eczema, it lessens the irritation and does heal other irritations on my face.

I think the product itself is great. It feels nice and smells nice. It just doesn't clear my son's eczema. I just think my son's eczema requires more time to heal itself as his body's immune system improves. In the meantime, I continue to look for products that will give him temporary relief. I was hopeful of this product healing all the eczema based on the great reviews I read. Sometimes I think this manuka honey is working and other times, I think it's my wishful thinking. I put some on my older son though, (who also had similar severe eczema as an infant) and he declared that his own itchiness felt much better.

I used the Manuka Honey balm on my son last night and this morning his skin was 75% cleared up.
