Documenting Hope
The Eczema Company donates 1% of our monthly sales to Documenting Hope.
Although it is difficult to talk about and even more difficult to imagine, childhood chronic illnesses are reaching a tipping point. Current statistics are startling: More than 11% of American children have ADD/ADHD, 1 in 31 are autistic, 10-20% have eczema, and 1 in 8 children have asthma. These numbers continue to increase every year along with the medical costs associated with them. Unfortunately, in many cases the current health care model looks to suppress and manage these illnesses rather than cure them, causing the need for a more functional, integrative, holistic solution for our children.
Jennifer Roberge, owner of The Eczema Company, has been a longtime supporter of this organization that is focused on uncovering the root causes of children’s chronic health conditions and documenting the healing journeys of children who recover from them. As a mother who has spent years researching and treating her son’s eczema, allergies and asthma, she’s honored to partner with an organization that has set out to prove these illnesses are both preventable and curable.
What is Documenting Hope?
Documenting Hope is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that drives discovery research and provides resources and support for parents and practitioners working to heal children from chronic health and developmental conditions. They are the uniquely focused on the impact of the “total load” of modern living driving the chronic disease epidemic in children.
While the conventional medical paradigm holds that these conditions are genetic, life-long and only manageable with symptom-suppressive pharmaceuticals, they are demonstrating that they are both preventable and reversible. They are committed to building a bridge between conventional medicine and root cause healthcare to provide answers, step-by-step healing strategies, and importantly - hope to all families. Their key strategic priorities center on expanding root-cause oriented research studies and developing scalable, direct-to-parent, and practitioner healing insights and interventions.
This organization is unlike anything out there and we at The Eczema Company are anxious to help put an end to the rise in childhood illness.
